I am so tired of all those damn commercials and now they are delaying YET AGAIN.

This is getting old.

I don't really understand why they're forcing the transition anyhow.

Because the US is lagging behind the rest of the world and honestly needs to freaking catch up already.

Broadcast HDTV is way WAY better than analog and the amount of data is better too.

Instead of getting just one analog channel you could get like 3 or 4 from the same station. Meanwhile they could sell the airspace for Wifi or Radio etc that the old analog signals are currently using.

I've seen the HDTV channels, but that's not what they're upgrading to.  Sometimes what they're showing on the HD channels isn't even in HD anyhow.

The quality of digital vs analog is debatable too.  I see so much pixelation on a lot of channels and bad transitions between varying degrees of light & shadow that I never saw on analog.  Plus you get those weird glitches in the service that cause the video to divide up into small squares.  That never happened in analog either.

HDTV is very nice... when it's actually IN high def.  If they'd just make the leap directly to that across the board, I probably wouldn't bitch.

Looks like it didn't pass the house by a 2/3 majority. February is back on!
