Apparently AT&T is now using the 1995 AOL model of doing business.

I was looking at this as I am affected by it. I have UVerse and with 250 gigs a month that means I can stream literally 8 gigs A DAY every day for a month and still be under cap.

That is an insane amount of data to be honest. Never mind that you only pay $10 for every 50 you go over.

Even using Netflix HD streaming (1.5 Gig an hour) that is 5 hours of movies every day non stop which is insane.

They must have folks hitting fairly regularly if they're needing to put a cap on it or else think it'll be worth their while to do so.  I'm not affected by it, but if I were a decent sized family w/multiple TV sets and other internet-enabled devices I think I'd be encouraging the kids to go outside and play a bit more.
